Well to begin with, it’s usually always cramped because he’s a giant and their dogs are spoiled. Spoiled as in they might start with the dogs in their own dog beds because they spent a good amount of money on them so that they were happy with their beds and it always ends up with the dogs in bed with them. Andrew tries to make up for the cramped sleeping arrangements by sleeping on his back with Aiden sleeping mostly on his chest with the dogs feeling like they own the place to sleep wherever and however they want and the humans will just sleep around them (which they usually do because the dogs are basically their children).

Sammy is a repeat offender at playing with Mason’s hands. When laying in bed, sitting on the couch, in the car or their walking through some space exhibit together, she’s rubbing a thumb across the back of his hand or matching their fingertips up to wiggle in synchronization. It’s her way of being close and affection with him without being too much. 

Finn is a lot to deal with. Anyone who has ever met, lived with and/or befriend Griffin Michael Carter knows that is more than a handful. He can never sit still for too long, most of the time he talks too fast and he’s most likely doing something reckless or stupid (sometimes it’s both). And yet, Riley handles it like no problem and in fact, she calms him down most of the time. He’s not sure how she does it, but the burning desire to just do something isn’t as intense when she’s around and it honestly makes him stop and appreciate things around him. It sounds kind of selfish, but one of his favorite things about Riley is that she makes him (want to be) a better person.

That’s when she opens up her feelings. The first time she ever told Nat and Lucas she loved them was late at night in pitch black. She’s admitted her fears to the cool air as it laid upon sleeping ears. When all she can think about is being happy to be home and safe with the two of them close, she whispers it softly to them as she moves closer, wanting to keep that feeling with her as long as possible. But she knows that when the sun comes up it’ll scatter her words away as if they were never there and she’ll start a new day and end with another whispered confession.

When Noah knows he messed up, he definitely takes it out on himself and never on Regan. Instead, he isolates himself off and gives himself time to hate himself then to hear it come from Regan - not that it ever does because he’s always harder on himself. However, when he’s calmed down enough to actually make the apology he usually waits until it’s late and the kids are in bed before he goes to the office where he knows she’ll be, buried in work as usual, and he apologizes. He takes all the blame and explains his thought process from start to finish with what caused the argument in the first place and lets her comment before he leaves again to give her space. But even if she forgives him, it takes a longer time for him to forgive himself for upsetting/hurting Regan.
