Neil surprised me with an extra birthday present! A kid free morning so I could go to the barn alone. 😍 So of course it was stupid hot and humid, so I didn't ride. But I did get to give my horse a really good grooming and do ground work with her, including a walk out to the back field through the woods where we ended up getting attacked by deerflies and Tali was not impressed and I had a deerfly fly down my throat... 🤢🤮 But then we went to the ring and I let Tali play and once she felt more like herself we hung out for a bit and she gave me sweaty kisses. She didn't want to finish eating unless I was holding the bucket, so we compromised and I held it on my lap while I sat at the picnic table, so I could let my ankle rest.
