This is a screen capture from a friend’s video. The problem here is that it’s the second screen capture I took, the first one I grabbed about 26 minutes earlier, according to the time stamp on the file, and it had two more views:

See that? The number of views on his video DROPPED. Only by two but it DROPPED.

I’ve discovered how to make visitor counters and decided to add one to my blog ‘cause why not?

At first I want to say that a hit counter often may be very unnecissary for most of you. It's because it sums up the number of all times the website was visited. It does not count the number of people. In practise this means that the vistor number increases every time you open your blog after editing - this way, there may be a huge number appearing on screen even if nobody than the admin visited the page. Moreover, you are able to set a starting number. So please don't trust any hit counters on other webistes, they mostly don't show what you expect.

If you still want to add a hit counter to your blog, this is the best one - it's the same one I'm using in top of my own one, even if I think of removing it:
