French Flag and Promotional Flag
A lot of things goes in making or designing a flag. A country’s flag must have seen it all, the revolutions, the festivals, the joy and the sorrow but for the common good, it stood, uniting people in some way or the other. A flag is the perfect embodiment of a country, nothing lesser than that.
A country’s sports teams, its military force, its government, all carries this symbol as a matter of pride. In Olympics, what proud moment it must be for the athletes who hoist their country’s flag by winning a medal (gold, silver or bronze) on such an international podium, and probably in these instances where the pride of a country is won comes the inexplicable respect for flags, which are the representation of not only the people but also the culture, the heritage and all other things that define a land as a nation.
In this article you will know about French Flag and Promotional Flags.
The French flag has a simple conventional design. There are stripes and the usage of colors, which are a total of three in numbers. The colors are blue, white and red. Stripes constitute a very general design pattern embraced by the flags of many countries including America, India, Cuba, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia among others.
The French Flag is a tricolor flag with three vertical bands just like the case with Canada Flag. There are three vertical stripes; starting from the left or hoist part there is a stripe of color blue, then white and the last one is red. There are no other design elements in the flag, no five-pointed stars or any other object. The proportion of height and width of the French flag is 2:3, which means that the flag is one and a half time wider than the height.
France has a rich history and has adopted many forms of the flags throughout the history. In its current form, the flag was adopted in July 1830.
Promotional flag, as the name suggests, are the flags that serve the purpose of advertising something. As a flag is the representation of a common goal or good, promotional flags are a good way of sending a homo genous message to a group of people so as to attract the like-minded ones. For example, a vintage car-rally can have a flag depicting a royal symbol that may resonate well with royal families and their followers or enthusiasts and thus generate a faith and attraction among them towards the event.
Promotional flags bind people together under a hood and unite them for the very thing they want to be a part of.
