I have a theory about Selene’s mother. I think her mother is the result of a human/werewolf relationship and so she has always longed to be accepted by wolf society. This would explain her almost instinctual urge to defer to the Alpha and also explains why Selene is Onyx’s mate, she’s a quarter wolf.
I could be totally off base but I think it makes a lot of sense

Of course, your idea makes sense! And I quite like it!! Her mom is angry about not becoming a werewolf, and the wolf society doesn't consider her as one of them, even though one of her parents was a werewolf. She'd been waiting to be mated to one, at least, but it didn’t happen as well. So now she is in skies because of Selene being a werewolf's mate and her being respected by them.

I was thinking and wanted to share my idea. It would be cool if the poor thing managed to escape and return to the city, and Alaric went after her and stayed there for a while, learning more about human culture — either with her or by following her around. I have other ideas too, but I think I’m already daydreaming too much (I guess I’ve had a lot of free time lately to be thinking about this stuff).

Hello, my dear.
My apologies for not being able to release the chapter as I had mentioned before. I'm very busy with my job right now, and plus, I have some sad news that has disturbed me for the last few days (My ex has asked my close friend to go out with him. The exact girl I'd talked about with him. I never saw that coming!! Not that I complain, it's just disturbing. He was that type of nerdy gentlemen guy at the outside).
About the story, I've been re-writing the last part of ch25 again and again. I've come up with an explicit scene and a soft scene and haven't decided yet which one to choose for the final edit. Hopefully, I'll choose the explicit one! Hahaha
