He eyes the presented cookies with a look of dubious proportions. As if the unforeseen nickname isn’t enough, the words scrawled over some of the treats encourage a frown. A brow raises though at her admission and starts the twitch of a relieved grin. “I’m going to pretend you didn’t just compare me to a flower that I’m sure is shitty. Nothing tastes better than a stolen cookie though- I speak from experience.” Reaching, he picks up a particularly gaudy baked good and bites into it without any show of restraint. He supposes the taste’s not too shabby, though he certainly could do without all of the hearts. Nonetheless, her and the cookies’ appearance surprises him and he casts his gaze to her satisfied face now. “Usually I’d keep free food all to myself, but take the girly ones if you want. Think of it as a gift from me to you.” Unable to help himself, he muffles a rueful laugh behind another bite of the cookie, mauling the thing in its entirety.

He rose his eyebrows in pleasant surprise at the few brownies set in front of him and a smile widened on his lips. He wasn't expecting a gift or sweets from the girl but he couldn't deny that it'd made his day. Zitao bit down on his lip to stop his grin from stretching any wider and he scrunched his nose up playfully at her new nickname. "I'm your brownie?" He chuckled quietly and his dark eyes flickered to Hirari's gaze and they warmed. "Thank you, Tiny, this is a sweet surprise." He looked down to the aromatic brownies which were decorated with a few of the holiday's official colors and another smile quirked on his lips. "Will you eat some with me?"

I know a shit talker when I hear one, Hirari. Suppose it's a good thing I'm used to it.
