Royal Siblings Prompt for @fates-week
Warning: wholesome family cuteness ;3
Takumi attends a Hoshidan summer festival with his wife and siblings
“I can’t believe we get to attend a festival together as a family!” Hinoka cheered as the Hoshidan royal family adjusted their yukatas. “Finally we get to show Robyn how Hoshido hosts festivals!”
“Thank you so much for inviting me.” Robyn, Goddess of Fate and wife of Takumi replied graciously.
Takumi was beaming proudly beside her, both excited for the festival and also clearly excited to show off his lovely wife and show her his country’s culture. The silver haired prince was a passionate man for his country, and it was one of the things she loved most about him. The sweet night hair greeted them as the siblings stepped outside, the array of colors making it look like the Hoshidan Square captured a rainbow and decorated with it. People were dancing, some were eating at food stalls, and some of the other stalls had archery and axe throwing games set up. Sakura’s eyes lit up when she spotted the spiced potato stand.
There was a sparkle in Hinoka’s eyes as she watched her sister hurry towards the stand.
“It’s nice to see her forget to stutter sometimes!”
The group shared a laugh at that, Sakura soon returning with the warm potatoes and rice dumplings. Robyn held out a dumpling with sweet soy glaze to Takumi, who blushed at his sister’s knowing smirks, then leaned in decisively to take a bite. Sakura giggled in response.
“Look.” Robyn nudged her husband. “There’s an archery booth. Think you can win?”
Takumi’s hazel eyes gleamed competitively.
Hinoka shook her head in amusement as the silver haired prince marched confidently over to the booth, Fujin Yumi in hand. Already, a small crowd gathered around to whisper.
“Look! It’s Prince Takumi! He’s heading to the archery booth!”
Robyn could see the faint blush on her husband’s cheeks as he lifted his bow, then narrowed his eyes in concentration and fired. The arrow struck dead center, making the poor little target topple over in defeat. The crowd clapped appreciatively, Takumi grinning as he selected his prize, a pair of floral cat ears that he plunked on his wife’s head. When Robyn batted her eyes up at him, she could see Takumi’s expression swiftly turning more flustered, a small smirk making its way to her lips.
Oh my.. are cat ears one of Prince Takumi’s weaknesses?
Sakura was looking at a floral headband with a look of fierce longing, and Robyn leaned in to whisper in his ear.
“Look at Sakura.. she really wants that headband. Think you could help her win it?”
He nodded, and made his way over to whisper in his sister’s ear, her eyes lighting up instantly. Robyn stood next to Hinoka as they watched Takumi carefully guide his sister’s hands on the bow, and they aimed together.
“You know.. I’m really glad Takumi has you.” Robyn looked over in surprise as Hinoka spoke up, turning to see the Hoshidan Princess gazing warmly at her. “He actually smiles a lot more and seems more confident. You’re a good wife to him.”
“Thank you..” Robyn murmured, deeply moved, a cheer drawing their attention back to the pair in time to see Takumi handing an excited Sakura her prize.
The silver haired prince returned to her side, hazel eyes glowing with happiness.
“Let’s show these guys how the Hoshidan royals celebrate! Let’s go dance!” Hinoka declared, pulling a shy Sakura with her.
“D-dance?” Takumi froze up a bit, but relaxed when Robyn pressed her forehead to his.
“You’ll do great.” she encouraged, her husband’s nervous eyes softening as she felt Takumi slowly relaxing against her.
“Okay.” he agreed, and they followed Hinoka, hand in hand.
