I like to imagine that while yes, Volt is charismatic and flirty, and that he enjoys being charming, it would be far more funny if he was only just-like-that™ towards the player. Of course, other objects are complimented by him often, or they engage in some flirty banter, but it's never beyond anything light. Hear me out:
At the Breaker Box. Homeowner is sitting at the bar with some other objects.
Homeowner: "Wow, Volt is so sweet, but sometimes his flirting gets so intense I can barely keep up."
Betty: "Haha, that's just how Volt is. I'm sure that he's made you feel lightheaded before. Isn't that right?"
Homeowner: "Yeah, he has invited me to 'spend more time with him backstage' or 'join him when he can give me his undivided attention' more than once, he almost has me blushing every time, haha. He's such a flirt."
Johnny: "Uhh he's never said anything like that to me."
Rebel: "I'm pretty sure that that's just an invitation to fuck you at this point."
Eddie, polishing a glass, too tired to think about what he's saying and beyond annoyed by how down bad Volt is (bc he's down bad too): "No shit, Sherlock. He's already getting desperate because they keep ignoring him."
Homeowner: "Wait what-"
Whether the Homeowner is just in denial about Volt liking them like that or whether they genuinely didn't catch that (or maybe they just like messing with him), a certain white-hot-bolt-haired man is already thinking about what to do next to grab your attention.
I feel like Volt and Eddie would love being able to hear their Livewire’s heartbeat or just like being able to hear them breathing especially if the Livewire was hurt during the outage (cough, my homeowner oc, cough), and especially if they are accident prone
Just some rambling because I think breaker box duo can breathe but they don’t really have a heartbeat/ it isn’t loud (I LOVE YOUR WORK)

I agree that the boys would like hearing LW's heartbeat before they're realized! I've seen a few interpretations floating around about what the boys have instead of a heartbeat, like a low, constant current. After all, they don't really have organs, so it's not like they need to breathe or pump blood for that matter. But this game is not very strict with its world building so that's that.
Anyways, back to the ask. I think Volt would love to press a hand or an ear up to your chest, say something to make you flustered, and feel with glee how your heart rate picks up. He's very cheeky about it, and loves to check your pulse in more subtle ways too by taking your wrist and squeezing softly to feel your pulse.
Eddie is the opposite in that he loves to feel when your heartbeat slows. When he manages to calm you down from something, or feels how he makes you feel safe, or when you drift off in his arms after a long day of repairs. It shows him that you feel safe in the Breaker Box, that he makes you feel safe.
Overall, they love this little indicator of your mood, it's very endearing to them <3
If you're European like me, or currently living here, or you've heard the news, you know the heat is killing us all. I feel like I'm being boiled alive. Leaving behind dry, sunny Maine for this and being hit with all the humidity is just... Ugh.
Anyways, this whole situation has me thinking about Realized! Eddie and Volt experiencing summer for the first time and not knowing that you have to take precautions against the sun, the heat, the bugs, and so much more...
Eddie doesn't like the sun. He's used to being indoors, and all that blinding light and scorching heat is just overall annoying. He's not as susceptible to sunburn as Volt is, luckily, but it's still annoying when he has to work on renovations outdoors. The number of things he has to repair due to bug infestation also gets on his nerves. All of that combined means that he goes back to only working super early in the morning or late evening.
Volt initially likes the summer, or at least, the idea of it: sipping cocktails on the beach, wearing more flowy, revealing clothing, getting to enjoy the longer days, all the summer activities! That is until he actually steps outside and gets a sunburn within 10 minutes. He's pretty pale, of course it was bound to happen. Especially if he doesn't put on sunscreen or doesn't check the FSP on the bottle. During the first week, he suddenly felt extremely dizzy while showing some clients to a new property and had to stop the tour. Thankfully, the heatstroke wasn't too bad, but he definitely got his ear chewed off by Eddie and live wire. From now on, he also adapts Eddie's working hours, and when he goes out, you never see him without sunglasses (and a lightweight hat, if it matches his outfit).
Crying, shaking, throwing up. I think I've reached the peak of my life, there's nothing after this.
It was so nice to meet Jonah! He was so cool and awesome and was doing the boys' voices while he was signing everything and I think I like. Died on the spot. My knees were shaking so bad from pain and anxiety. I could die happily now.
I don't think I've ever seen this poster design before but it's so cool!!!! I went with my brother and I thought he'd make me spend less money but in the end he was just convincing me to buy it, and he was right honestly.
ALSO for my fellow gacha game players: he auditioned for so many characters!! And he still didn't get any role 😭 definitely spending all my money tho if he ever gets to voice a playable character!

So what if reader just subconsiously calls Eddie and Volt 'good boy' - like saying it to Eddie for taking a break or to Volt for doing a small favor?

Hehehehehe I like that a lot... Idk maybe I'm just a big fan of the pet name but I love it (not really for me, but definitely for the boys).
Imagine their reactions to it... I think that Eddie would get so red as soon as he hears it, a furious blush on his cheeks as he sputters and stutters and tells you "don't call me that again" (in that typical voice that just tells you that he doesn't hate it, but rather is fighting to preserve his dignity). He ends up liking the pet name more than he'd ever admit, and since he's very secretive about anything that may be embarrassing to him, he's not going to tell you that he likes it. But... Maybe he'll do more things to prompt you to say it.
Meanwhile, Volt... You don't know what you're doing with it. He's going to freeze as soon as those words slip from your mouth, a dust of pink on his pale cheeks... But then, he's grinning wide, almost love drunk, and leaning in closer to you. "Oh? Is that what I am, now?" He'll be absolutely insufferable, because now that he's heard you once, he wants more. And he's set on flustering you with it as much as it flusters him. Whenever he does something for you and he only gets a simple "thank you", if he feels cheeky, he'll pout at you and ask "have I not been a good boy, live wire?"
Call both of them a good boy more. Maybe you'll discover how much they're willing to do to hear you say it...
Y'know. Through everything, I know that Volt (and Eddie too but Volt definitely more) would have your back through your rights and wrongs. Dude literally tried excusing accidentally SETTING THE HOUSE ON FIRE, he's gonna excuse if you did something mildly wrong
And also he would go and electrocute those fuckers who dared to hurt you
