the hightails suck, because one, they always seem to be against freddy (especially after he turned out to be a werepoodle), and two, they raised beatrice beefcheek to be the monster she is. on top of turning a blind eye to all her bullshit and enabling her, they tried to bribe pincus to let her keep her place in howlington despite breaking several rules. they're definitely corrupt, at least in some ways. their high standing in the pack allows them to get away with it. at the same time, they're not nearly as bad as hotspur - i mean, at least they didn't try to murder the lupins ?? they just really suck
