"you know, i don't know what to make of you," your arms remain crossed over your chest as you speak. you have been told before, time and time again, that you are not very good at reading people. that you see only what's on the outside and make judgment based upon the surface. but perhaps, even so, the high lord of the night court reminds you of someone; and someone you knew very well.
"i've been told my entire life that fae were deceiving, beautiful on the outside, but ugly behind the glamour," you assume he's wearing some right now, the handsome features that look almost human don't fit with the idea you've always had of how fae are supposed to look like, "and i can't for the life of me figure out if that's the case with you. if you're genuine, or just an excellent liar," you never trusted easily, even so when tripping on your own hubris, "that's not to say i don't like you. i do, you've got a charming way of conversing. but that's the thing that makes me not trust you at all." @highmati
