Spent the last few days obsessed with this lovely blanket shrug. I'm writing a pattern for this freestyle project for my upcoming craft ebook I'm thinking of. Think memior meets craft tutorials. My days are currently consumed with working or creating. Often times it's both at the same time. I support myself financially with freelance work, but the work itself is fun and fulfilling. Really the only thing I want now is more work. I'm also looking for new ways to monetize my adventures. I just finished this. It took more than a year and is a king sized afghan made out of mostly acrylic yarn with the double stitch primarily. The color choice came from using whatever purplish cheap yarn I could find close by. This blanket was therapy for me, many of those rows were stitched with tears in my eyes. This blanket was started after I left Acapulco, basically when my new life began. And there were many times when I just didn't see an end to it. But here it is. And honestly I'm a little sad now as weird as that sounds. I'll share more soon and eventually in a pattern for an ebook I'm writing this month. I loved crochet before I knew I was autistic. I sit like this most of the time. When working, when eating or even when just hanging out. I feel exposed all stretched out. I can't really think of a better way to describe it myself. I've gotten a lot of shit for sitting like this from family and exs. Ive tried to train myself out of it. At this point I've given up. This is me.
