More of some of my buddies! Note: I did not take these. They were originally posted by the primary caretaker of these animals, who wishes to remain anonymous for privacy’s sake. These guys live happily and comfortably at High Rock Wolfdog Rescue in Alabama, where I volunteer. Wolves/wolfdogs don’t make good pets…please do your research before seeking a breeder!
Some of my buddy woofers from the other day. <3 They are as entertaining, wild, fluffy, and full of personality as they are beautiful! Note: I did not take these. My beautiful Spirit <3 She’s an 18 year old (yes, 18!!) high-content wolfdog living at High Rock Wolfdog Rescue, where I volunteer. The chicken was a friend’s, and it was killed by her dog accidentally (well, accidentally for her, the dog probably meant it). She donated it to the woofs, and old Spirit enjoyed a special treat. High Rock Wolfdogs is a 501 c nonprofit rescue. Also...it’s of note that Spirit’s head shape is similar to a greyhound’s! Wolves have such long noses!
My partner Danny is going to be spending a lot of time with my new pup, Ivar, so I wanted him to meet Ivar’s half-brother, Gray Wind, to get a better idea of what to expect from a higher-content animal. Grey is very well-socialized, but is nevertheless initially skittish when being introduced. He warms right up, though, and is (obviously) affectionate as soon as people sit down at his level. Meeting Grey was a great experience for me, too. I was able to pick his owner’s brain about socialization methods and training techniques. I feel even more mentally prepared for Ivar now, and greatly look forward to raising him. Note: Grey Wind is NOT a pet. He is a high-content wolfdog owned by an experienced member of the wolfdog community.

These two stunning pups are the grandparents on my puppy’s mother’s side: Phantom (dark sable low-mid/mid-content) and Sorsha (silver high-content).
They are health tested, very sweet and social in nature, and have produced some absolutely amazing pups together. I haven’t met a single wolfdog from this pairing that wasn’t impressively well-socialized and happy to greet new people without reserve. They’ve all been incredibly beautiful to boot.
