Why do lolitas airbrush/paint/'x' out their faces in their pictures when in their coords? Is it because they dont want people to identify them, steal their pictures or make fun of them on internet bully sites?
Somtimes it’s all of the above. From what I’ve read a lot of Japanese Lolitas do it so their employers and coworkers can’t identify them because it can be seen as “an embarrassment to the company” and whatnot and they could lose their job. This is also why you might see Japanese Lolitas carrying small luggage because they’ll leave the house in regular clothes and change into Lolita when they reach the place they’re meeting friends.Other times it’s just things like people don’t want their faces to be on the internet or they’re just making a funny face and weren’t able to take another picture.
