It's a new day. You awaken in your rooms, everything as you remember on your first day of work, but you know it isn't. You remember that this time. Back to the start but with actual hope of moving forwards, finally, breaking free of the loops at last. It's an uneasy, cautious hope. For some of you, awakening back in your rooms may be jarring, but for others it may be a relief. You have a few moments to lay back in bed, and think about all of this, before the intercom crackles to life.
“Good morning, everyone!” Yasu’s voice calls out to you. “Please meet up in the Presentation room when you’re ready - we have a lot to talk about!”
When you all arrive to the Presentation room, the core Sephirah are already in attendance. A few moments later, the managerial team arrives. Aletheia and Yehidah of course, followed by Yasu, still in their manager get up from the trial... And Hideyoshi at their side with a matching armband. They turn to face you all.
"Right...Let's begin, shall we? Hide-kun?" They hand the floor over to him.
“You all… should know, w-why we’re here. Bare with me, reiterating. h-how important, it is. So we can… preempt some ssstupid mistakes.”
The new co-manager clears his throat, fiddling with his new uniform. Giving speeches has always been nerve wracking for him, but after the trials he’s been in, he’s getting better at it.
“Our mission. i-is, at surface level, to make energy. aia, the a-abnormalities. as, I’m sure, y-you’re aware. We, ourselves, are also p-producing… a form, of energy. You know the loops, you remember… all that. The Seed of Light, th-the thing that will. as t-tacky, and unbelievable as it sounds... ‘save the world’. All of us, must live. N-No abnormality, casualties. No ordeals, we’ve e-eliminated them. and, most importantly, no in-fighting.”
He gives a little glare around the room, aware of what some people might remember, about the innate character of some of their peers, and about what desperate people can do in desperate moments.
“If you don’t care, a-about any of that. The Seed, the world, then remember. this. A-After this run, after the next few weeks, I p-promise you: we’ll be done. Free t-to leave, finally.”
“... A-And if that’s, not enough. I’m c-creating a Security Team. Nefesh-sama will, be in charge. o-of a group of you, who v-v-volunteer to protect the others. wh-while they work. If you, never w-want to enter… a containment room, again. that can be arranged.”
Yasu then speaks up. "Like Hide-kun’s said, we're going to take a more proactive measure to observation and security, now that we've got everyone awake and understanding from the start. Ruach of course will still have his eyes on the camera feeds, but this way he's got support and a team on site. You'll be given protective gear and EGO weapons and will patrol around areas where the others are currently working, under the watchful care of Nefesh! So if you’re not comfortable working with abnormalities anymore, it’s okay. I totally understand." They smile. "I'll be on the floor and helping work with the abnormalities, as well as assisting the Sephirah in their tasks, so just holler if you need me to step in for you on patrol or anything! I’ve got your backs, just like always."
They look around the gathered group and smile a little wider, hope in their eyes for the first time in a long, long while. "With Yaldabaoth gone, there shouldn't be any cause for ordeals, as long as we can keep each other safe and supported as we work. If there are any problems, don't hesitate to tell any of the sephirah or the managerial staff and we'll get right on it."
They think for a moment and then nod. "And...I think that covers everything. There's nothing holding us back now, so let's finally break the cycle together. We can do this!"

As he spoke, he wondered if the vote would even go through- but it did. The pending nomination was enough for him. Confidence brimming, he speaks up once more.
"... Y-You brought us here. to k-kill Komori. They're all th-that's in your way. But, y-you don't understand people, y-you made that clear, every time you sssspoke. Not persuasive, a-assuming we share, your misguided bitterness... Unfortunately, y-your way, has no benefits. I don't t-take deals, that don't b-benefit me."
He sighs, rolling his eyes a little. Now that the situation feels under control (to him), he's freezing up less.
"We'd b-be stupid, to condemn Komori. for what y-you've caused. Each ordeal, you. The, a-ambient malevolence.. you. You're at fault f-for the flaws, in this loop. We're a-already accounting. for Komori's incompetence, they're... a non-issue. Eliminating you will guarantee our success."
The Democratic Way || Hideyoshi A. || Trial 6 || Re: Yasu, Yaldabaoth
Yasu's showing a lot of emotion, to the point even Hideyoshi looks a little uncomfortable- not in that Yasu's making him uncomfortable, but in that he doesn't know how to react to someone being this sad near him. He can't just say some hollow platitudes, that would be meaningless, so he gives them a moment of silence and a weird look, since that's all he can think to do.
Then, Yaldabaoth shows the outside world. It looks like a movie- people in garish costumes doing horrible things- but he won't delude himself into trying to think it's fictional. Humans are more than capable of this, in his opinion.
"... A-All the more reason, to finish this ssseed. isn't it? If we escape n-now, things only g-get worse. And we h-have to deal with it, then."
All his talk about Yasu being too young to be put in his position is ironic while he's also trying to commandeer the whole thing, given he's the same age as the manager. The only difference is he wants this, while they were forced into it. Even if there's no one left to impress with it, he hates leaving things unfinished.
"I assume, w-we can figure out. Which m-memories, to remove. once th-this is over. Nothing.. large, p-presumably just, the actual. getting murdered, p-parts..."
He trails off, looking to Yaldabaoth again. He's not satisfied with their answer, but the fact it's unsatisfactory makes him think they're covering for something.
"I understand, th-then. Why we're here, what you want, out of this..."
Entering The Interrogation Phase || Hideyoshi A. || Trial 6 || ATTN: Yasu, Yaldabaoth
Yasu has handed over the baton, which is... a step forward, at the very least. Hideyoshi looks over the charts curiously, clearly glad to have some cold hard data to think with. While looking it over, he listens to Chiaki quietly. She's right; he's glad to see people are on the same page as him for once.
"...... C-Consider this, the fault. of th-the dipshits who decided, 'oh. sure. the n-n-nineteen year old. isss our oooonly hope. they can f-fucking puzzle it out. alone, w-with some defunct f-fucking robots made of viscera'."
He lets out a sigh and closes his eyes, looking bitter at the overhead here. This plan feels unstable on so many levels he can't solely blame Yasu; he feels like most of it lies with Elanna, which irritates him when he doesn't even know her.
"N-Now that, we're a-allowed. to work together. let's focus, on that. N-No one wantsss to. unleash, terrible monsters, i-into the world they will live in, o-once we're free. So, let's focus.. on making the next loop. work. I see, a few things... to consider."
"Firstly. Komori, will... the fallen, keep their m-memories a-as well? I can see..... a few people. th-that would be... suboptimal, with. We should c-consider, if it's possible, ssselectively.. removing memories. from those in question. If, the only option... i-is a total wipe, I feel... the reveal, would be similarly. disastrous. to the r-reveal this time."
He doesn't feel the need to elaborate on who he thinks would need that treatment, since he's sure everyone can think of at least one person personally. He'll get more into it if it's even possible.
Then, he turns to Yaldabaoth and gives them a scrutinizing look. He wants to test how much this thing is willing to cooperate before deciding anything for sure.
"You're. a pest. C-Cooperate with me, here, for a moment. If all th-that's there, are monsters. and men. which, do you think you are, r-right now?"
His stare persists, but it's more cold than hostile. Impersonal, but not judgmental; like a teacher in class who doesn't even know your full name, but is still trying to tell you to worry about your grades or you'll fail.
"If you wanted the f-facility... gone. and could kill us all. Unleash a-an ordeal, to end it all. There's e-enough precedent. Clearly, y-you need us to do you plan. Y-You can't kill Komori, alone. correct? Th-That much, is evident. unleash, an ordeal... of a-any scale you can imagine. Things will reset, when th-the manager dies. Instantly."
He figures that's either on the money, or it'll prompt them to explain their actual reasoning to laugh at how wrong he is, either of which he'll be happy with. More information is all he's thinking about right now, he's hoping as Yaldabaoth is cornered more, they'll take bait more often or slip up with some information.
"You're in n-no position to withhold information. Delusions of.. g-grandeur aside: we're not listening. I'll t-try to, for just. a moment, so don't make me waste m-my attention on you. by saying more literary-type d-drivel."
He holds up a finger, indicating this is the first proper question in his interrogation.
"Tell me: why d-did Shinozaki vote? D-Did you manipulate that, o-or. are the dead, in some way, present? Should we acknowledge, or c-consider that? Is there a way, to.. break, th-that barrier, if so? I'm sure... some of them, w-would side with you, if i-it were possible. The fallen have n-nothing to lose, after all."
Insanity, Etc. Etc. || Hideyoshi A. || Trial 6 || RE: Yasu
After Yasu and Yaldabaoth both say their piece, Hideyoshi is quiet for a moment. Without a word to Yaldabaoth or any sign of acknowledging them, he turns to look at Yasu once more.
"Th-There is no momentum to carry. I should. point out."
He's not letting up on his business-like tone, continuing to act like an impartial party to all of this. He's here to point out flaws so that they may succeed, there's no point in acting like some of the others and being meaninglessly sentimental.
"I'm not sold. Sssurely, you've heard. th-the classic quote about.. insanity, and doing the same thing over. and over, a-and over, correct? What makes you think... this time, w-we'll succeed. And, wh-what does success... entail? We all... r-reach a power quota, while alive... is that it? You h-haven't thought of, I d-don't know, working together, in th-the last, hundred years? Y-You're such bleeding heart, that. I doubt that."
His stare stays fixed now, not looking away.
"Tell me. h-how we plan. on succeeding. this loop. I won't a-agree, until. we have a plan."

Time For A Promotion || Hideyoshi A. || Trial 6 RE: Yaldabaoth
"... That d-doesn't. benefit me. I refuse. I-Improve your ssssalespitch."
He answers simply with a bothered shrug to Yaldabaoth's spiel. He glances at Nadezhda then.
"I doubt, i-it'll be that simple. It sounds... t-to me, that. our work here, p-prevents Yaldabaoth's choice. We stay, a-abet the end. To leave, is t-to... give up."
Then, finally, he turns to Yasu, looking at them for the first time since the reveal, giving them an annoyed glare before looking down. Ugh.
"Your plan is pissant as. w-well. You dipshit, d-do you think... the same thing, will work? Over, and over. a-and over? You never shhould have, b-been doing this alone."
"W-We need to keep. our memories, if we loop. But. I m-must ask. why would we start over, a-at this point? We've learned m-more than anyone ever could, in. m-making it, this far. What's... wrong? What d-do we need, to fix. that a loop, w-would accomplish? People have died, yesss... but clearly. a loop d-doesn't fix that."
Ordeals of Ordeals || Hideyoshi A. || Trial 6 || RE: Yasu
"Th-The ordeals... are born, of n-negative emotions. Then why, d-did they come with... a-announcements. from. I presume. Y-Yaldabaoth. taunting, jeering, talking. as if th-they personally are issuing tests. t-to the end, I feel. of making us realize the f-futility, of this place? Of trying.. again, and again?"
He stares at the white haired figure. Not a sephirah, so what else makes sense...
"Who's to say. Yaldabaoth isn't... a-another ordeal— or, all the o-ordeals, technically— one that was.. born of your own hopelessness? The.. manifestation, of the f-fear that we're going. nowhere. the n-negative emotions, piling up in you, after... countless loops, countless deaths, losses... and, now, it's t-taking action. towards th-the purpose it was made for. That.. doesn't sound, impossible. to me... but this place, is illogical. a-at it's core."
What Of It? || Hideyoshi A. || Trial 6 || RE: Yasu
The memory... is more confusing than anything. Trying to reconcile the memory with his own memories just isn't working. He knows Yasu, and in his humble opinion, Yasu isn't qualified for something like this; he doesn't even feel like he's being mean in thinking that. Yasu being in charge of anything sounds disasterous, let alone something as big as this. It's not like he's in a mood to give Yasu the benefit of the doubt. This is how trust works, it's bitter and painful and always ends in disappointment.
Hideyoshi doesn't react much outwardly. He crosses his arms, giving an irritable stare Yasu's way.
"... D-Do you want, a fffucking, standing ovation? We know, we're the ones wh-who found out. W-Why don't you explain the ordeals. and why w-we're here. and why w-we needed t-t-trials for. the fallen."
