"I wonder how many babies I have floating around out there that I don't know about" Charlie spoke out loud as he pondered the thought, his attention on the gift table that was building with plenty of presents.

Brandon couldn't remember much of the last few hours since he'd read the news. The first thing he had done was get on his bike and cycle across to Sasha's house to try and prove to himself that, like the roses and X on Em's door, this was all just a sick joke - a freshman prank. But it wasn't. The Police were there, the crime scene tape was up, and one of his Dad's old friends had to physically stop Brandon from pushing into the house, holding him in a far too aggressive hug for what felt like a lifetime. Go home, Brandon. Go home. But how could he? Sasha had been one of his favorite people in the world. From when they were little kids and she'd show him the latest dance routine she came up with to watching her dominate the music world both on her own and with her band... He might not have run any of those hundreds of fan accounts or purchased every last bit of merchandise she released, but he had always been her number-one fan. He loved her. And now she was dead.

As the day turned into night, Brandon's pain turned into anger. Just yesterday he had been walking around the park with Dakota telling her how he was done trying to figure out who was behind the murders. But everything had changed since then. He was going to find out who killed Sasha, and he was going to kill them. He didn't care if he went to prison for it. He was going to fucking kill them. And that's what he was thinking about as he sat in the cold evening air, chest rising and falling, eyes as dark as the sky above him. A broken twig from a misplaced foot reminded him of the real world, but he didn't jump - he didn't even move. "If you're going t-to tell me to go home, or t-tell me how sorry you are, you can fuck off."

Nico was people watching with a coffee in his hand. He was taking a moment to himself after a long shift and sometimes sitting alone with his own thoughts was what he preferred, caught up in his own mind he was pulled from his day dream when he spotted somebody else in his peripheral vision. "Sorry, I was in my own world for a minute."

The past two days had been a lot for Adriana. She had gone through a lot of emotions in 48 hours and really any of them were anything good. She was doing her best to smile and stay distracted from the mess she had created, but that was hard when the party revolved around her, Max, and their unborn child. Which is why she had snuck away from the crowd of people to steal a bite to eat in the kitchen. Swiping her finger along the icing of the cupcake she had picked up, its sweet tasting letting her disappear into it for a moment. Her mind completely elsewhere that she didn't notice someone else entering into the room with her until they spoke. "Sorry, I was totally zoned out there. What's up?"

la vela tonight was packed by a lot of its patrons, which was fully expected, it was fourth of july, the bar has been running nonstop, whilst most of the booths are full. and another set by some new dj has been going on for half an hour now. paisley has been sitting by the bar by herself, nursing a glass of gimlet. she was a little bit in her own world tonight, though at first she was mingling with the others to not dwell in her own mind, yet now she couldn't help it. her thoughts were immediately interrupted by someone whom she felt taking the stool beside her just now. part of her had this sense that they were already watching her from afar, though she isn't really sure, due to how much she's drank already. “what do you feel like having tonight?" she just simply said, as she takes a swig of her drink, before finally turning to the person beside her. "whatever it is, it's on me."

"Okay, okay." He paused as he pulled the other to the side, where it was more private. "Yes, I did get the fireworks but shhh, they aren't exactly legal here but yes, we got them." He said as he took a sip of his drink. "Just keep it hushed until later tonight."
