Heâs not sure how they wound up in such a situation. What had started out innocent enough, two friends attending a comedy show and having a good time, had turned so much more sinister. Itâs past midnight now, and the pair find themselves at gunpoint in a dimly lit alley.Â
In hindsight, perhaps it hadn't been the best idea to risk a short cut back to the hotel. Heading down side-streets in the middle of the night, especially in such a small group, is a tragedy waiting to happen. SAL is now wishing theyâd never gone to the goddamn show in the first place - it wasnât worth risking his fucking life.
Itâs your average situation, for a mugging. One moment, theyâre trapped in a back alley, not far from the venue. The guy who has them captured is hooded, holds a handgun, and itâs aimed directly at Brian. Attempts have been made to reason with the stranger, but all in vain. He demands a price.
Abruptly, all too suddenly, Sal steps out in front of his friend.
                 âFine, fine, I ââ
But heâs made a critical mistake, and the sudden movement comes with consequences, for now heâs crumpled on the ground with a bullet in his arm. Thereâs a mutter of the word âshitâ from the assailant, and then heâs gone.
