#tbt to that week almost exactly 6 years ago when a bunch of dummies rode 500 miles for one super cool girl. . . . #bikeforkam #biketouring #bikepacking #bikelife #worldbybike #bikewander #fundraiser #giveback #hibm #ridebikes (at California Highway 1)
So MSNBC released a video today titled “Fighting The Stigma Of Disability,” and it’s about a woman with Hereditary inclusion body myopathy (HIBM), and the effects of living with her condition, but living her life to the fullest and making sure she is defined by herself and no one else. I just think it’s important to share the type of videos about disabled people that we should be seeing. Instead of portraying them as victims, or as inspiration for nondisabled people.
