aaaHHH i literally just answered this! Thank you tho!! c: i’ll add one more story i just remembered and that made me smile, is that okay? :P

11) My elementary school had a full-functioning internal economy --- kids from all grades exchanged goods and services between eachother by using pieces of old bathroom tiles as currency, and different colors had different values and rarities?? Then the older kids moved to middle school and the new leading class chose colored pencil cores as currency (also, two years of using tiles brought to a tile shortage lol). People would break pencils just to get their cores, and often keep whole bowls of them at home. This one time i went to a girl’s house and her mom made me take a cup full of cores home and the girl was sO PISSED cause she was basically giving me her money for free lol.. the whole school was going insaNE, believe me, there were ‘shops’ like tattoo parlors, bookshops, artists commissioning stuff, bets on football matches, contests with prizes, theft and ransom, and sO SO MUCH MOREWhen i was in 5th grade my class built its own economy based on sequins - again, different shapes and colors had different values. I remember having a seat just next to the radiator and i charged people to let them use it as a way to heat up their food before recess lol --- ofc, we also had exchange rates for pencil cores so that we could still be part of that wider school economy... we were every communist’s nightmare lol
