With pedro's nerve problems, did he tell his parents or did he hide it👀
Amazing question.... I'm having A LOT of thoughts on this.
So assuming Dani is told about that. Like really picture the situation: Dani, who has seen Jorge lose part of his finger, who thought for a sec Jorge would be paralyzed, who knows probably all about Marc's horror arm stories, Dani who had roughly every bone of his body broken and glued back together hears that Pedro - his baby - is having serious problems with his hands? I think it were 3 things going numb? So Pedro is having an actual, longer lasting problem that could influence him for a longer period of time/ for teh rest of his life? So something more severe than the broken bones or stretched tendons or whatever he had so far?
... Oh he's dragging his boy to every hospital he can find. He's finding out what's going and getting it fixed IMMEDIATELY. Wheter Pedro wants to or not. And Pedro is VERY aware of that.
But the thing is.... Pedro said it started in Japan? So an overseas race where his papa wasn't around. PLUS. Afterwards there were 3 more oversea races. Assuming he didn't go home for the one week break in between, he wasn't around Dani for over a month and I BET he didn't want to call his parents and tell them about what's going on so he doesn't worry them. Like he knows they'd worry and insist he go see a doctor but he barely as any free time anyway and doesn't want to deal with it so he just tries to not put too much pressure on it, does some exercise and stretching etc and calls it a day. And then he's back and he just keep missing the window to tell them and at that point it's Christmas and then the new year, new season and suddenly it's too late to tell them and deal with it.
So I said he didn't tell his parents.
But then the race happend and he knew he had to come clean and since his papa already had to find out over social media about the Ducati contract, he's now calling his papa - Dani has a heart attack because his son was in visible pain and now he's calling him and there was nothing on the news so it has to be something serious???? - and telling him everything.
Or, well I guess Jorge and Dani watched the race so I'm sure they immediately clocked what's wrong, maybe assumed it was arm pump (idk about the build up of arm pump but there's a great potential for angst by then realizing Pedro was in pain AND DIDNT TELL THEM.)
Also the potential for them being pissy at Pedro because he was in pain and didn't tell them and instead raced when he wasn't fit/ in pain. I mean it could have caused serious trouble and be a real danger for himself and others. It's a good thing no one was around when his arm stopped working. It'd be bowling if that had happened in the first corner of the first lap. Anyway so Dani is a bit cold and like angry caring about Pedro while Jorge is uncomfortable silence and gives Pedro a look like *yeah of course he's angry but he loves you give him time*. And then Pedro has surgery, gets a kiss on the head from both his dad's and when he wakes up, Dani is already next to him, holding his hand, brushing his hair back and saying something like "Welcome back sweetheart" the same way he had since Pedro was a child and Pedro - still high from anesthesia - just clinges to his papa.
