Tony couldn’t shake the feeling that something was weird; he’d been having this... ominous type of vibe inside since a couple of weeks ago. Nothing out of the ordinary appeared to have happened, but it still stuck with him that something must be off.
Nonetheless, no matter what he was feeling, he had this event organized for the past couple of months, and he wasn’t going to hold it off for nothing. Since last week, he’d been having hundreds of interior decorators bustling about all areas of the Stark Tower to get it appropriately ornamented for the holiday event. Around six in the evening, everything was set up and ready, and people were starting to arrive. Obadiah had helped him line up some of the most brilliant inventors that were associated with Stark Industries to come and talk in the different panels they had open for people to view.
Tony hung around near the food bar, though. He wasn’t in a particular talkative mood--whatever it was, was bugging him even more so today--so he didn’t want to appoint himself as the greeter at the main floor’s entrance. That seemed like a lot of work and energy and people skills that Tony just did not have today.
With a glass of champagne in hand, his gaze wandered over the guests that were spilling into that room as well. For the first hour or so, he still ended up feeling like a greeter with how many people noticed and came up to him. It finally let up after the initial sixty minutes, and he took a seat at the bar, sipping on his drink.
