           Yomi invited you over to spend the day with him since itwas your first Valentine’s Day together. You weren’t sure if he had anythingplanned, but you had a plan for today; you pulled the wagon with the bags ofgroceries to the door. Yomi was already there at the door waiting for you witha wide smile.

           “I’m so glad you’re here, (y/n). What do you have withyou?”

           “Some groceries. I figured I could make you a speciallunch and dinner today, I found some nice Valentine’s recipe online.” Yomikissed your forehead and helped you carry the wagon inside to the kitchen. “I’mso excited to just spend the day with you.” You got up on your tip toes andwrapped your arms around his neck, planting a soft kiss on his lips. Yomiwrapped his arms around you and lifted you off of the ground, so that yourforeheads were pressed together. He pecks your lips and spins you around, whichmade you giggle.

           “I have a present for you in my office. So, you getstarted on lunch and I’ll be right back with it, okay?” You nod as Yomi setsyou down. As he left, you empty the bags and started putting the food andthings away and started to make lunch. You could hear Yomi setting things downon the counter while you cooked. “Can you turn around for a second?” You putthe lid on the pot and walk over to him and notice all of the gifts sitting onthe counter.

           “What’s all this,” you giggle.

           “I’ve never been with someone on Valentine’s Day, so I boughtyou all the cliché gifts. So, you have a roses, a heart shaped box ofchocolates, a stuffed bear holding a heart, fancy perfume, and lastly, abracelet with a heart shaped jewel on it.” You giggled as Yomi presented youwith each of the little gifts. He leans down and kisses you passionately. “HappyValentine’s Day, my love.”

           Normally, you could handle your missions with the coldindifference you always had. This time, things were different. You wereundercover as a servant of Yomi in order to steal so important information fromhis office for your client. For a while, Yomi kept you were close to his sideand you never got a chance to be by yourself in the office and it started toannoy you. Then you found yourself enjoying his company, not wanting to be awayfrom him; he was calm, intelligent and an incredible fighter. He confessed totelling you that he had feelings for you which is why he always wanted you byhis side. Which made everything that happened the night before all the moredifficult.

           You snuck out of the bed, making sure to be as quiet aspossible to not wake Yomi. Every time, one of his ears would twitch you wouldstop moving; it took forever to get dressed and get out the room, but youmanage to pull it off. It was a quicker process to sneak to his office with thekeys you stole that morning. You made short work of finding the files andopening the window to sneak out.

           “(Y/N), what the hell are you doing?” You turned aroundand look over your shoulder to see Yomi standing in the door way. “I heardsomething going on in my office, but I never thought it would be you. Are youstealing from me?” You chuckled, covering your face with one hand to fight backthe tears you felt coming up. “How could you do this?”

           Meeting with Yomi wasn’t an uncommon situation now thatyou were a full time Spirit Dectective. He often had missions for you and theteam, but he only ever wanted to meet with you. You thought nothing of it for awhile but you started to notice a trend. Yomi would often like to have yourmeetings over tea, lunch or dinner; if not that, then he would have some sortof fancy present for you. Today was different than most days.

           “I’m afraid I don’t have a mission for you, so if you don’tmind just keeping me company,” Yomi said, sitting at his desk. You raised youreyebrow and sit down in the chair he had prepared for you on the other side ofhis desk.

           “You told Koenma you had an important mission.”

           “I couldn’t think of a good lie to get you here. I reallyjust wanted to be in your presence.”

           “Is that why you always want me to come alone? Why youalways want to eat with me and buy me presents?” Yomi didn’t say anything. Heleaned back at the chair and lifted his head towards the ceiling. “Why do youdo all of this?”

           “I was just kind ofhoping that you’d, y’know…fall in love with me.” You were surprised by thisanswer; you blushed at the confession. Yomi tilted his head back down andsmiled at you. “Did it work?”

           “I wish you hadn’t lied to me about it…. But I can’t lie,it worked a little. Maybe you should take me on a real date. Instead of makinga lie to see him.”

           “I can do that. I will do that for you.”

           “When I said, ‘Whateverhelps you sleep at night.’ I didn’t mean this,” you said. Yomi’s armstightened around your waist and he pulled you to his chest. You sighed andleaned back against his chest. You two had been together for a while and thiswasn’t the first time you’ve slept over. “I’m surprised at how tame you’rebeing right now.”

           “I’m not some animal, (y/n). Sometimes I want you by myside without sex. That’s what it will be like when we wed.” Yomi’s words cameas a surprise to you. You tilted your head back to look up at Yomi’s face. Hegently brushed your hair out of your eyes.

           “Wed? Were you going to tell me about this seeing as how Ikinda would play a crucial role in the wedding?” Yomi laughed.

           “I was more thinking of the future. I know it’spremature, but I see myself spending our lives together. I hope that doesn’tscare you.”

Let’s go kick butt, but first let’s take a selfie!
