Good morning, please take a moment to think about Dean being the one pining after Cas their senior year of high school. Don't think about Dean getting distracted by staring at Cas during their math class. Don't think about Dean stumbling over his words and dropping his books when Cas stops him after class to borrow notes after missing class. Don't think about Dean sitting in the library nervous as hell with Cas studying together. Don't think about them spending almost everyday together hanging out. Dean introducing new music to Cas and Cas giving Dean new books to read. DO NOT think about Dean and Cas sitting on Dean's bedroom floor studying for their final exam and how Dean's heart pounds out of his chest when Cas suddenly leans in and kisses him on the lips. Don’t think about Cas trying to study for a big test and Dean is standing in the doorway trying to distract him by going, “alright, blue eyes, how about we ditch this lame party and resume in the bed?” And Cas just turning and smiling at Dean like, “Dean, baby, dear, close the door.” And Dean grins and closes the door then Cas grins and goes, “from the other side, sweetheart.” And Dean is shook because Cas is a savage and needs to finish studying!

Don’t think about an established relationship between Dean and Cas and Cas is a firefighter and Dean is a nurse and when there’s an emergency fire and Cas’ pager is blaring at 3am in the morning, as soon as he shoots up to get ready, Dean just grabs Cas’ arm half asleep and pulls him into a kiss and whispers, “don’t you dare be stupid and get hurt and end up in my ER” against his lips then lets go and says, “I love you.” And Cas smiling against Dean’s lips and going, “can’t make any promises” then kisses Dean’s forehead and goes, “I love you more.”

My thoughts as I fall asleep: how many times has Cas made Dean coffee in the morning and sat at the edge of the bed watching and waiting as Dean sips it. And Dean is slowly starting to smile because coffee is waking him up and Cas made it for him and he's pleased then Cas finally talks because Dean's had his coffee so they can start their day now and Cas goes, "so, the bees are in danger, Dean." And Dean going, "we'll save all those fuckin' bees, Cas."

Don’t think about Dean discovering anmesiac angel Cas in the middle of nowhere and helping him and Cas imprints on Dean and is basically attached to him at the hip and becomes Dean’s protector. Dean’s his human now. Dean doesn’t know that so he can’t understand why he can’t pick up dates anymore and why his hunts all go so smoothly now. And Cas is just basically his duckling.

Dean always finds a way to touch Castiel. Whether it be a pat on the back or cupping his face to get his point across. It’s always light and innocent and quite frankly, loving. If he can touch him then that means Castiel is close enough that he can’t be taken away from Dean again. That’s all he really needs if he’s being honest.
