Honestly? Darn the casting choices of the All Too Well music video/short film making me 1) thrilled to see both actors, 2) uncomfortable about the extreme age gap that I instinctively know because I know both of them, 3) chagrined that oh wait that’s a plot point, not just Hollywood.
#I didn't remember the song well enough to even be sure it was gonna be a sad ending#anyway yeah between this and my watching american assassin for the first time recently#o'brien is doing a good job of playing dudes i would want to keep every woman i meet away from#man the writing in that movie was a disaster for the women#it was like a caricature of toxic masculinity in vets but packing in tom clancy tropes to fill a shape that would make them heroes actually#but the point of this post was actually how i'm less disappointed in ''hollywood'' than i expected at the start of the vid#this doesn't matter to you but i'm telling you anyway because i nearly posted complaints about it when i paused#at the start of a reaction video where i knew the person was about to exclusively praise it#and i was still reeling from ''she's a baby and he's older than me--not much#but definitely enough'' so had to get the feelings out rather than let them leak in a more public forum#tmi#rant#about me#augh this site reads all the tags for searches now doesn't it? oh well#taylor swift#hey queued#sadie sink#dylan o'brien#further embarrassing thing to say not in public is i didn't realize i thought he was attractive#while i was actually keeping up with teenwolf on a semiweekly basis#until i developed a crush on a dude who i very much don't know but was working in the same building i had an internship in#and the only thing i could conclusively say about his appearance was he looks like this actor#that dude probably still looks fine but he did (right as he was getting another job and i'd basically finished my internship)#get an atrocity of a linkedin photo that made him look emaciated and much more voidstiles + silent hill extra#so at this point that's still more of my mental picture for him than his actual face#the crush was pretty well banished already by then but that picture helped
