Rules: In a text post, list ten books that have stayed with you in some way. Donât take but a few minutes, and donât think too hard â they donât have to be the ârightâ or âgreatâ works, just the ones that have touched you. Tag [ten] friends, including me, so Iâll see your list. Make sure you let your friends know youâve tagged them!
I got tagged by answeringmysister!
.) A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn,, I have issues with this book now but growing up this book really influenced me.Â
.)Luna by Julie Anne Peters, another book I dislike now but growing up meant a lot to me.Â
.)Anarchism and Other Essays by Emma Goldman, for obvious reasons I suppose.Â
.) Manufacturing Consent by Noam Chomsky.Â
.) Guns,Germs, and Steel by Jarrod Diamond, wildly inaccurate but an he has an interesting lens on the world that is useful if you filled in the flaws with the truth of the matter.Â
.)Feminism is for everybody by bell hooks
.)The ABC's of Anarchist Communism by Alexander Berkman, because I'm generally into anarchism (if you couldn't tell).Â
.) The Portable Dorothy Parker-Dorothy Parker, because I admired this woman who had a lot of dogs and was sad all the time. Plus she was funny.Â
.)Marilyn Monroe by Barbara Leaming, because MM is to this day a possibility model of mine.Â
.) Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, because sad existential anarchist fiction is right up my alley. Â
