otherkin is not somethin’ ya do. it’s somethin’ ya are.

ya do not introject kintypes, ya do not only “relate to” or “feel like”, ya do not “choose” or “get rid of” them.

you can discover them, explore them, but a kintype is an identity. jus’ like i may relate to people who’re women, but i’m not a woman. tha’s not my identity, i jus’ have some similar issues an’ preferences. i may relate to Eraserhead from BNHA, have some similarities, even like the character, but i’m not him.

i am an Undertale character tho, miss home, look like that in th’ brain, feel like that, cuss out th’ fact that i am well aware game mechanics an’ portals don’ exist here. that’s who i am, mentally, even tho th’ body’s human. an’ i am well aware o’ that, do human self care, obey the law, everythin’ humans do. plus a little Undertale indulgence on th’ side, knowin’ full well i’ll never “go to that world” or somethin’ despite my homesickness. so that, i would say, definitely counts as a kintype. a nonhuman identity. i can’t get rid of it, change it, or even successfully deny it, because i wake up in th’ mornin’ an’ wonder where my scars are, wonder why the fuck i have arms. keep in mind i don’ like missin’ body parts or strictly want to, it’s just weird that havin’ arms is somethin’ i’m used to out here.

it’s not all good, but it’s not all bad. it’s jus’ a fact about me. jus’ me.
