one of my favourite little details ive noticed abt the hex memebers is how even tho they are facing extreme struggles, barely scraping by day to day, they still make sure to accessorize themselves in ways that feel authentic to them.

all the ladies like to style their hair and do their makeup, quincy likes to keep it stylish with his garments (but i also like to headcanon that the slight discoloration around his eyes is actually smudged shadow or liner, cus hes cool like that)

even amir, who doesnt strike us as someone who cares that much abt his looks, has his tinted shades. which in his own words are "just for show". something he puts on simply because they make him feel good, no other reason.

idk i just think its nice that even tho they are in the middle of an ongoing war with not only scaldra but also some freakish hive mind monsters straight out of some scifi horror film *while* also dealing with their own infestation they still take the time to accessorize themselves. i find that important. and it hits kinda hard especially during these times. no matter how hard things get, make sure you feel good in your skin.

lets say drifter doesnt know their birthday, possibly bcs of the whole child soldier thing they went through where simply no one really cared about something as insignificant as a tennos birthday

or

drifter had known their birth date at some point but amidst the whole chaos of duviri, the time loop shenanigans etc they simply forgot. either way its lost to them.

and after a whole year of not getting a single birthdays notice from their drifter the hex members are like "???are you going to tell us your birthday or what" and drifter is like "what the hell is a birthday¿¿¿" ... the hex arent sure if they should laugh, or cry, or both.

SO after living with the team for around a year they tell drifter to pick their favourite season, a date and maybe even a day of the week to kind of make a new birthday for themselves. if drifter refuses or is unsure of what to pick the hex take matters into their own hands, assigning them a month and a date based on their likings, personality, general aesthetics etc etc

i feel like eleanor and aoi would really be into this, both give me horoscope girly vibes but i can also see quincy being very opinionated on this as well lol

thinking abt how cool it is that the squad name "the hex" can have a double meaning of

hexed as in cursed or bewitched. cursed with the infestation by albrecht who in this case fills the role of the witch. he even approaches them like one. mysteriously and out of nowhere, promising them a solution to their problems but not giving them the full truth about his 'gift'

or hex as in hexa, meaning six in greek, referring to the number of members there are in the squad

you could read it as both simultaneously and get "the cursed six"

with time amir learns how to better control the electricity he produces. there would still be times where the electricity jumps around his body and limbs at random but eventually he learns how to concentrate the static build up, in places like his hands and fingertips.

but what if he got so good at it he even knew how to concentrate and discharge the static from his lips or tongue — you know where this is going
