Prostitution in Ancient Athens

Prostitution in ancient Athens was legal and regulated by the state. During the Greek Archaic Period (c. 800-479 BCE) brothels were instituted and taxed by the lawgiver Solon (l. c. 630 - c. 560 BCE), and this policy continued into the Classical Period (480-323 BCE). For many Athenian women, prostitution was the only way to make a living.

TBH+C : Sounds pretentious and almost aware of it. It takes a while to get used to whatever the lead singer decided to do with his singing technique, trying to sound more "mature" after AM made the band seem like it's made for online teens and American radio. Lyrics sound like they come from the mind of a wealthy, previleged douchebag who thinks he's doing profound commentary on society, kinda tone deaf and unintentionally snooty. But it's not like, unlistenable. I can vibe with One Point Perspective or Star Treatement when im walking outside at night or something, or when I feel like doing karaoke cause the way Alex sings in these and how the lyrics flow is fun.
