This is so true as quoted by Pastor Mike McBride in one of our Wednesday morning Bible study. John 3:30 reads "He (Christ) must increase and I must decrease." Lord, help us to realize that we really don't need all we think we need to be happy or successful. Your Word tells us that "all things are lawful (okay to do)” but not all things are helpful... and not all things build us up." (1 Corinthians 10:23.) "There's a way that seems right to a man; but the end thereof is the way that leads to death." (Proverbs 16:25.) Let us be willing to let go of some things that the power of Christ may rest stronger upon us. Have you ever had moments where you felt the presence of God so strong that you wanted to just scream. Moments when His love is so obvious and so evident...
