dante had a throbbing headache. one that seemed to escape from his skull and cause his entire body to ache. he leaned forward on his desk, one hand raised to massage a temple while the other pressed a button so he could page his devoted assistant. "laureano." he says, knowing the other will be ready to hop up and onto their feet to aid the mayor. "will you be a darling and bring me some excedrin and some scotch? feel free to grab something for yourself, too." they had both been working around the clock to smooth out public relations ever since the endless night. their days now blurred together. dante was constantly busy trying to make amends for karma who had killed over five-hundred of his own citizens. he would make sure that boy never saw the light of day again.
there were far too many problems, and he was only an elected official. an elected official his adoring public now knew of as a half-demon, which made him being a politician ironic. of course the charming, handsome, and suave mayor was a demon the entire time. but dante had proven himself time and time again. he had helped out during the endless night, almost dying several times while getting his own citizens to safety. they knew now not to judge a book by his cover, and they still clamored to dante for guidance. that was what drove dante. he loved how needy mortals could be during times of great unease. they needed somebody to look, and dante was happy to offer succor to those impacted by the tragedy. when the door to his office opens, dante looks up with a relieve smile. "well aren't you a sight for sore eyes?"
