my part for gem birthday collab!!

Also the organics she does are so FLAWLESSLY amazing and I think thats one of the reasons I love her builds so much, like genuinely. I only every watch 1-2 povs per season (since s8, when I got into hermitcraft) and that pov has always been Gem + MAYBE someone else but its always a constant in having Gem as my main pov since she's how I got into hermitcraft in the first place

her storytelling through her builds is amazing too. She doesnt NEED to directly state something for us (the viewers) to come to a conclussion that fits into the theme and thats just good world building/storytelling on her end

“wait so you knew”

“yeah”

“and you didn’t think to tell me??? Gem what the heck.”

“sorry oli, but you kinda sucked at role playing”

“wait so what about the others?? is this all some sort of prank?”

“oh yeah, nah they’re actually just like that, you’ll get used to it”

“WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?? GEM??”

or even better gem doesn’t know everyone is actually their characters and they just stare at each other pondering what went wrong and how did they get here.

As soon as Gem walked in, she felt the tension between the two sides of the room. It seemed as though Pearl and Impulse were arguing about something, though from a distance, she couldn't tell what it was. Slowly drawing closer, she was able to catch bits of the conversation while still keeping her presence hidden.

"Come on, Pearl! You've done it for Grian before."

"Grian is also tiny and weighs as much as a feather. The man needs to eat more."

Impulse paused for a moment, "You're not wrong. But still! Please?"

"I'm not giving you a piggy back ride, Impulse."

"I'll give you one back?"

Pearl paused for a few moments. "Promise?"

"Promise."

"Can I get one?" Gem asked, revealing herself to her fellow groupmates.

“Oh! Sure, Gem, I can give you a piggy back ride,” Impulse offered, giving her a smile.

“Oi, nope, you have to wait, I’m going to give Gem a piggy back ride!”

Gem giggled, “You can both give me a piggy back ride if you want. Just don’t forget to give each other them! Oh, and I can give you each one too!!”

“That’s alright Gem,” Impulse assured her, though he gave out a yelp of surprise when Gem lifted him up and readjusted him to her back without issue. As he clung to her, Impulse realized that Gem hadn’t even paused in her motions, finding him as easy to pick up and carry as a can of beans.

He and Pearl made eye contact over Gem’s head and each made the silent promise to never again doubt their friend’s strength, no matter how much her slight stature might sometimes attempt to fool them.
