Summary: Light and L are forced to act out scenes from a fan fiction that’s taken the shinigami realm by storm. Every time the author posts a new chapter, the games begin anew.

They are promised a reward by the shinigami king in exchange for some better acting, and must do their best to display believable fake feelings for one another even as their real feelings start to come into shaper focus. However, when Ryuk becomes co-writer of the story, things might get more ‘entertaining.’

Happy weekend! I’m in a thunderstorm lol ⛈ and my cookout plans got rained out so I’ll be writing today!

So I posted a one-shot Lawlight late last night (prob rated Gen, maybe T for feels), Gratitude of the Crane. It is based on a Japanese fairytale (Tsuru no Ongaeshi) that I always thought was beautiful.

Last week I updated Her Dark Materials (with co-writer @weusedtotalktilmidnight) and Checkmate, if you didn’t catch those. I hope to have an update to Dial K for Kira either tonight or tomorrow, depending on how writing goes today [update: 😑 writer’s block but it’s in progress].

I’m participating in a few fandom side projects and exchanges this month (the MikaLight, Secret Shinigami, God’s Eye Tarot), which might slow things down later this month. But some of the prompts I got are amazing and I’ll post those works here/on AO3 when I’m allowed to. 👍

Hello I have not died! I have been rather bogged down in real life lately and getting some *cough* inspiration but the fics are in progress. Dial K for Kira Chapter 6 will post late tonight to early tomorrow, and I’ll post here when it’s up.

I wrapped up two fics recently, Castles of Sand and The Neologisms of Yagami Light, as well as added a new chapter to Checkmate last week. I posted a new Lawlight drabble on AO3 today in the ongoing Strange Fiction ficlet collection. Check em out if you haven’t already!
