         ❛    i don’t think you should have to rise above the world  --  i mean  ,  is it really that horrible to be on the same level  ?     it’s just other people  .     ❜

               he strums the guitar in his lap slowly, playing a short chord, before brown eyes flicker up to the girl standing in front of him, wearing the leather jacket with his decal ‘pon it. “ ali, doll, left jacket pocket, my cigs.. ” a pause, he flutters his eyelashes, “ please? ”

                             ❛     it’s  from  japan   ---  it’s  a  computer     ----  &  it  tells  you  what  to  do  !  you’d  never  have  to  struggle  to  figure  out  what  to  say,  or  over  analyze  some  little  gesture,  ever  again.  you’d  just  KNOW.  like  when  you  do  ballet.  only  it  never  has  to  end.    ❜      

               SICKNESS .  it  plagues  the  pit  of  his  stomach  as  edward  trawls  the  neighbourhood ,  schoolbag  still  on  his  back .  curfew  is  approaching ,  but  home  is  not  in  sights  of  the  young  boy .  he  is  travelling  toward  the  park ,  hoping  to  get  there  early  enough  to  snag  a  bench  to  sleep  on  for  the  night .  backpack  is  not  the  most  comfortable  pillow ,  but  he’s  willing  to  make  do .  he  makes  a  sharp  left ,  and  immediately  jumps  back  a  foot  when  he  nearly  runs  clean  into  one  of  the  prettiest  girls  he’s  ever  seen  in  his  life .  “ oh-  jeezus ,  madam ,  i’m  awful  sorry ! ”  eyes  ( one  encircled  with  purple )  widen ,  eddie  straightens  himself  immediately ,  as  if  he  is  someone  who  wishes  to  impress  the  angel  in  his  path .

          “ he’d say, ‘ you left me high, you left me dry, you’re a wreck, and i’m all you’ve got. ’ ” // @herdances !

       he really doesn’t understand why this place has so many parties  ;  yes  ,  it’s a world full of adolescents  ,  but the parties are always staid affairs  .     even he can tell this isn’t something the average teenager would find fun  .     unless the average teenager is his apparent soulmate had long since gone off to mingle  ;  mark was rather content with the alone time  ,  actually  .     she waves at him from across the room  ,  and he waves back  ,  hoping he doesn’t look as half - hearted as he feels  .          her attention is caught by a passerby  ,  and he runs through the nearly desperate list of traits he could fall in love with  .     she’s very nice  ,  she loves people  ,  she is objectively pretty  --  still  ,  nothing’s really triggered  .     someone approaches the bar  ,  and he makes conversation just to avoid his thoughts  .     ❛    can you get drunk here  ?     or would that just depend on if the person themselves is okay with it  ?     ❜
