the Margaret episodes in seasons 5 & 6 that let her open up and be emotional with people who care about her are so nice. i love seeing people prove to her that they care about her!!!! telling her nurses she feels excluded and they make an effort to change that, Frank attending her wedding, Hawk & BJ buying her a replacement wedding ring, Radar letting his rabbit undergo surgery for a pregnancy test (Hawk performing the surgery!), her childhood best friend tells her she needs to open up to people because she's a warm, caring person and she'll make friends... Margaret Houlihan the woman that you are... Loretta Swit the amazing woman that you are..!!!!!!!

i have to admit, my favorite way to watch mash is to imagine it's the second or third or even seventh time these events have happened. sometimes Hawkeye is aware of it, but sometimes he isn't. some episodes, he knows he's about to watch someone die or have the worst day of his life, again. he knows exactly where every piece of shrapnel is inside some 16 year old kid because he's picked out every piece of shrapnel from this 16 year old kid fifteen times already. he knows who dies and he still tries everything to save them. some episodes, he has no idea he's trying in vain to save someone he's never been able to save before, and may never be able to save. he's going to try everything. he can't help but try everything. and the food doesn't get better, either

mash s10 e17 "where there's a will, there's a war" is possible THE most canon beejhawk ever. BJ literally says, "when i'm awake, remind me to give you a kiss". like they kiss & it's all but onscreen
