My poor mum has the flu so I have made her some lemon ginger and honey cough syrup! It's just as good if not better than the shop bought stuff. Here's the recipe... 1 Lemons zest 1 tsp of ground ginger or fresh chopped ginger 1\2 a cup of water 1\2 a cup of honey Simply being the water, zest and ginger to the boil in a small pan. Summer for 5 mind then strain into a perspex jug. Heat the honey in the washed pan (do not boil). Pour the lemon ginger water mixture into the warmed honey and simmer again till thickened.
