Why do I feel like herald is the unexpected father figure between Samuel and Luke in the trio

Samuel & Luke aren't really safe guys and Herald was asked to look after them (turns out that only Luke is here willingly (curiosity) lmao). I'm not sure, but I feel like he wouldn't really care, focusing on studying instead, but sometimes had towillingly interfere. No fights ☝️🤓
I'm also like the scene I had in my head about Herald × Luke:
Luke've been taken care of his plants, when Herald decided to be a nerd. Plants are extra important for Luke and he won't endure(?) such an inslut. (trauma moment, he thinks it was an inslut when in fact it wasn't)

Poor Herald 🥺 He probbaly regretted ever communicate with Luke. Fortunately, Samuel was here before Luke lost control in rage 😇
