Mugshot Monday - “Medium Hot German Mustard” mug by Hengstenberg with Fresh Squeezed IPA by Deschutes
There are two things about this mugshot that are kind of nuts.
First -- this little beer mug is actually the container for Hengstenberg’s medium hot German mustard! Saw it at Fresh Thyme and of course I had to get it.
It’s really tasty mustard. FANTASTIC packaging.
It’s the same size as a half-pint glass. That is WELL played, German mustard guys.
Second -- this is the first beer I’ll have in over a year. Back in February 2018 I did some blood work on my doctor’s suggestion to find out what foods were causing inflammation in my body. Wheat was one of them, unfortunately. So, no more beer for me. 😐
However! I was told to introduce these foods after abstaining for a period of time, so today is the day I try BEER. I picked one of my favorites: Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA! Soooooooo tasty.
I must say that the brand colors of these two labels pair REALLY well. Check out the photos below. Love it.
Time will tell how this beer affects me. The pattern for me is that I am fine eating wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, cane sugar, almonds or peanuts, but then after 2 days I get joint pain in my knees.
