I attended the world premier for ‘we will not be shaken’ yesterday & it happened again…it always does when I’m at concerts. The ache to express Him inside me became unbearable. usually I live with it passably.

I’ve blogged, dreamed, instagramed, tweeted, and face booked. they all left me unsatisfied.

none of those things are my calling. I was made to be love. but words…words do something to my soul. the give framework to this heaven here. they describe the beats of life. they are the grid we hang our hearts on.

I’m at a concert now at the stirring church, they’re hosting the helsers and their band. they’re a part of bethel music’s collective now.

I’m finding myself putting voice to something that’s been stirring…every time I enter worship, the words come. I must write. I’ve found a theme…

there will be books. there will be blogs. this place here is the bedrock for my experiments. at concerts, on the bus, at break during work…I will chew and muse over my words and offer them into the atmosphere. seeds sowing into the greater expression inside me.

He has always had my yes. is my no just as firm? I will say no to the constant questioning, and simply, humbly succumb.

I am in love with fashion, I adore the art of cooking, and yes I have gone to school for art. I am a yogi, I dance…all these things are part of me. but words, they’re my bedrock.

I can feel more education coming. I wonder. I need training. there are worlds to set right.

either way, I’m back. Caits. newly minted as mrs nightingale.

I have things to say. words Hes planted deep inside.

I’ve criticized them and hidden them. choosing my worship to remain in secret. this no longer is the offering he asks for.

Hello all! 

Welcome to my blog. I bet you are wondering: Why is the name of your blog “The Very Hungry Caterpillar?” Well a few days ago I was talking with some dear friends and they were encouraging me that they believe before the 18 inch journey (now) I am like a little caterpillar. They said they are excited for what the future holds and my little butterfly self. 

              So voila: I am one Very Hungry Caterpillar

I am hungry to hear the Lord’s voice. I am hungry to know Him more. I am hungry to discover my true identity in the Kingdom. I am hungry to create out of a place of being filled up with the love of Jesus.

The blog will be following along similarly with this story (at least at first).

If you would like to pray for me that would be awesome as well! Please pray that fear, doubt, etc would break down and that the Father’s love and light would shine through me. Pray for a deep heart and mind awaking of who I am and who the Father is. And pray for favor for me that I would be open hearted and minded to create deep trusting and lasting relationships with those that are going to be in my community.
