How helping others helps yourself
I used to think that if I didn’t help others, or tell them things I knew, it would leave more for me.
Looking back, I’ve realized this causes the exact opposite response.
If you live in scarcity, you get scarcity.
When you hold back on others, others hold back on you.
What I’ve learned (and am still learning) is that giving to others, whether its your best effort, your generosity, your knowledge or your time, it will be brought back into your own life.
It’s like the law of attraction.
The more you give, the more you get.
The more effort and value you give to others, genuinely and authentically, you get out of others. You inspire them to be their best selves, returning that favour, and helping you get the most out of yourself (unless they are in their own scarcity mindset). But don’t let those people bring you down; because once you realize who they really are, you can weed them out of your life. You want to do this to find people who like to give back, and help you succeed, bringing the best out of you and getting the best out of you. Â
