I honestly think Helen has so much rage in her post Trojan War and that her way of coping with all the trauma she's had is just... fighting. She needs to fight, because she's decided 'no more.'
It's also a headcanon of mine that Penelope and Helen were polar opposites when they were younger. Penelope was more headstrong and protective, Helen was softer, not as prone to fights, letting fights happen over her whereas Penelope would start fights-- but post Trojan War, the opposite is true, where Penelope is so worn down by everything she just lets whatever happen to her and Helen is the one starting fights for her
