“Who the hell are you?” Gia asks, although she instinctively recoils.  She can tell already that she will be way out of her league should this turn violent, but she won’t back down.  This is her home now; the vampires of the community are her family --- and she will always protect her family.

He finally has seen the face that has created so much fuss.  Over the years, he has heard of course --- the famous Petrova doppelgangers.  He raises an eyebrow as he takes her in, his gaze clinical (as if he is trying to take her apart to see what makes her tick).  “All this...over you?”  he finally muses aloud.  He gives a huff.  “And which version are you, again?  The third?  I can never keep track of how many there have been.”

“It is too bad...” he begins, his lips curling into a smile.  “...that you are no doubt fiercely independent because I see nothing but benefits in working together.”  He can tell already that is a cunning little thing and he appreciates that more than she may realize.
