How do you keep writing? I've been trying to finish a fic for 2 years now and I just can't think of what to write next and it's driving me nuts!!!!
It can be REALLY difficult to write when you don’t have the inspiration. This happens to me pretty often. But I often find that if I just write something, it gets the juices flowing. It doesn’t even have to be a complete sentence! It can even just be a layout. Most often when I write my fics I start with the middle, and then I go back and write the end and then the beginning. With The Things That Scare us I wrote everything completely out of order. I think the first thing I wrote was the scene when Wynonna catches them maybe? It was something in the middle. I had a bunch of scenes written out in my notes app to plug in as I went along lol.
But yeah, any burst of inspiration you have for anything, no matter if it’s what comes next in the story or it’s not until later, go ahead and write it down. It might even give you inspiration to go back and write the stuff before it!
