So I’ve finally finished reading Dazai Osamu and the Dark Era (bless you nkhrchy and all of those involved in it) and I have some things to say:
One – Mori is definitely a sociopath
Two – I absolutely love Mori, there’s no denying possible now
Three – someone save him, please
Three – I agree with nkhrchy, the gayest couple yet of this is Gide and Odasaku
Four – I mean, the man jumped the step of wining over the children’s hearts to win their parent’s love by killing them, that’s commitment, man!
Five – and now everyone can take a vacation in Heaven and become a happy family together
Six – of course the children will still be a little pissed that they were killed, but nothing Odasaku can’t bribe them with
Seven – a little of dark humor to cheer things up
Eight – I don’t think it worked
Nine – Still, Gide and Odasaku flirting while killing each other’s subordinates was an awesome scene
Ten – things have been answered, in a way
Eleven – Dazai was a bored child whose own apathy scared him
Twelve – I can understand that
Thirteen – but I am curious about what sort of opportunity arose that allowed a child (since he was already part of the mafia when he was at least 12) to join this side of society
Fourteen – Really curious about the bearded man
Fifteen – Pretty sure he’s going to appear in the main story at some point
Sixteen – Who knows
Seventeen – Maybe he’s part of the Special Ability Department
Eighteen – I seriously hope that they turn this into a movie, because an OVA is not enough time to animate this whole story well
Nineteen – also after the show starts growing darker, because the number of deaths (and the infanticide) does not go well with the first season of BSD (which is far more light hearted and comedy oriented)
Twenty and last one – Still kinda pissed Chuuya wasn’t around, but we had another red-haired being awesome so all is forgiven
