#hello apollo

Here’s my attempt at redrawing the “hello Apollo” scene from Lore Olympus! (Original picture below the cut!)

For someone who has only just started drawing people, I think I did alright!!

I used prismacolor colored pencils, and some pens for details.

Pros: I was really happy with the gold in her hair!! (I tried to change the angle a few times to capture it!)

Cons: I thought I’d be able to draw the brick on the light blue part in white gel pen like I usually do...apparently not. So I’m a bit disappointed there, I think it looks a bit incomplete without it.

I think I might color in more of the white space around her, I thought it’d look better cropped than it does XD But currently I’ve spent too much time on it so I wanted to post for now!

Devotional art for Apollon!

Well, the act of making the art was devoted to him, I had his candle lit and talked my thoughts out with him as I went. The subject matter (wisteria) was for me lol

I finally had the energy and the time, so I sat down and lit Apollon’s candle, and basically just left it up to him. The response I got through my cards was... honestly kind of hilarious and so, so good! So much of what I pulled had this sense of “FINALLY child. I’ve been waiting for you!” in a really affectionate way. I asked a couple of followup questions and then said goodbye, and the last card i pulled was the knight of pentacles. And i got such a rush of affection with it, even before i looked up the meaning behind it.

Now I am going to go type up my interpretations (i wrote everything down but its messy) and look up the things I need to dig into.
