I know the violence in this collage seems one-sided, but really neither Harry nor Jean are good people - whether or not Harry remembers anything he's done, it doesn't change his past or how it affected others. Jean isn't exempt from this either - mental health struggles make it hard for both you and others to exist around yourself, and he isn't taking Harry's medical emergency seriously. At best, he's at the Whirling to verify Harry's state of mind, and at worst he's there to crack a joke. Jean and Harry have a history of hurting people and each other, lashing out in a system that trapped them in a position where neither of them got the support they needed.

Whatever the case may be, I don't believe in second chances. Harry seems to get one if he returns to Precinct 41, but that won't change how the officers there see him. He might be fresh to the world, but the wounds he's inflicted are still fresh too. We want to side with Harry, we want to believe he's a clean slate, but tabula rasa doesn't exist. Not like this. We see how his past is still ingrained in his reactions; his brain is still wired as he lived his life.
