Hello can I recommend a spicy romance novel series?????
For the adults in the crowd, I would like to recommend the Hellbent series by Aurora Ascher. I read My Funny Demon Valentine over the coarse of a month, maybe a little over. I picked up My Demon Hunter last week and am already halfway through. The series is a supernatural cozy fantasy romance. Be aware there are sex scenes. I saw a lot a people complaining that they didn't expect it. (Not sure why, it says on the back it was a spice novel.)
The characters are incredible and very few I actively hate (of course there are some you're supposed to.) The way the brothers interact is funny and so true to siblings life (albeit dysfunctional) many of the protags read as autistic (especially book 2 protag) and it just adds a level of depth that I love. (I'm not diagnosed but I'm probably on the spectrum. Me saying they feel autistic is meant as a positive as they are relatable) Ash was fun, Mist is adorable, And Meph is hilarious. I Can't wait to pick up Demon with Benefits .
BARE IN MIND, I haven't actively chosen to read a novel since 2015. THIS SERIES MAKES ME WANT TO. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT. Aurora's narrative voice is amazing in that it has an air of casual conversation and light heartedness but depth making dramatic scenes feel like they have weight.
I'm probably explaining this poorly but I don't know how to describe it beyond she writes like how I talk with my friend.
another thing I want to mention is HOW FREAKING PRETTY THE BOOKS ARE. LIKE HELLO?!?
Even if you read them and HATE THEM they are GORGEOUS DECOR. But I love them and think they're beautiful.
Anyway, thanks for listening to me ramble. Have a nice day.
I need to be blessed with some new Penelope Douglas books
