"You know, people usually don't go through signs that read NO ENTRY. So why did you?"
He had heard the rumors, most everyone had: Don't enter the abandoned subway across town unless you wanted to wind up with your face on a missing poster. Too many lives had been lost to those tunnels, but the halfblood was rather confident in himself to not fall victim to the same happenings. He was rather hard to kill after all, so there was no real harm in letting his curiosity get the better of him, or so he hoped. He had survived fellow demons and angels, werewolves, vampires, striga, fiends, he had beaten everything though some with only mere inches left to his life. Whatever was in the depths had no hope of besting him.
Creeping his way down the darkened stairs to the tunnels below, the halfblood stuck to the shadows, masking himself amongst them as he gazed about the somewhat cluttered space. It was surprisingly well lit for a place that was supposed to be abandoned, not that it would have made any difference to him, seeing in the dark one of the many perks to his inhuman blood.
As was the ability to sense the abnormal, something this place seemed to be shrouded in. There were ghosts here, rather strong ones at that, held together by despair and...something else. Something that even with all the eons he had been on this earth, not even Gundham could place. It sent the hairs on the back of his neck standing on end, but he was undeterred, the halfblood venturing down deeper until tracks came into view.
He could sense he wasn't the only one hiding amongst the shadows, his the scar and red colored eye glowing in a low light to try and track where such a presence could be coming from. This, as it turned out, wasn't necessary, for all Gundham had to do was simply turn around to be met with the sickening smile of a...well...
She looked human, and felt human enough, but there was something else. A corruption embedded just under the surface. This woman...she had done unspeakable acts, though Gundham could not say if she had corrupted this haunted place, or if it had corrupted her.
No matter, there were few beings out there who could not be redeemed. This woman...she was still partially human at least. If he acted fast, maybe he could stop another one of those posters from being tacked up on the wall...
Stepping out from the shadows, the darkness misting off of him like smoke, Gundham gave a small bow in greeting before he was met with the question, it bringing a smirk to his lips. "I believe you will find I am unlike most mortals you may know." A pause. "I trust you are the source of the unnatural happenings in this accursed place?" He didn't seem keen on mincing words with this, the halfblood heading straight to the point as his arms crossed over his chest. "What manner of magic is this? An incomplete possession? Corruption? Or perhaps you've found yourself on the bad end of a deal with one of my kin."
