Hell can Wait || Christopher & Eden
Days had passed, and he still shook. Granted, most of his state had been caused by rage, but part of him still shook from the fear of losing her. He couldn’t lose her too, she was what little he had left of Eve and he couldn’t imagine her gone. As he watched his daughter sleep, the beeping sounds of the machines around her calmed him. He even found himself drifting to sleep.Â
Christopher had told her he would be home later when she said she needed to see him, but lucky for him, his last meeting had been canceled so he managed to get home early than he had planned. Wanting to surprise his girl, he didn’t tell her he was coming home. The house felt different as soon as he walked in. When she was home there was an energy around the place, she would often leave things around that showed she was home, and that night there was nothing. If he didn’t know better, he would have said she was still at school.Â
Walking to her room to surprise her, he was the one finding a surprise. She was passed out in her bed, her body looked wrong, and he knew right away she wasn’t just sleeping. A bit of puke fell from the side of the corner of her mouth and in no time he was holding her in his arms trying to shake her awake. “Don’t... don’t you... Fuck...”. Panic had settled over, and he wasn’t certain what to do.Â
The image had shaken him awake. lucky he had gotten there in time, and luckily the doctor had managed to take all of that shit out of her system. He could only imagine what would have happened if he worked late that night. “What were you thinking?...” he asked to her girl, still passed out in the bed in front of him.Â
