Hoder:

Her parents are members of Scala Ad Caelum's council, meaning they directly contribute to the laws which all residents and keyblade wielders live by. After Hoder finishes her mark of mastery- They eventually want her to overtake their seats (preferably, alongside her brother.) 

Hoder doesn't want to be a council member. She doesn't like the idea of standing still and just writing laws. 

She's terrified of the possibility of Scala Ad Caelum's destruction, and wants to do whatever it takes to vanquish the darkness. 

Vidar:

His grandmother is a respected keyblade master who is still active despite her old age, and his grandfather was a respected scientist. His mother (who ended up becoming a researcher) was against the idea of him becoming a wielder at first, but with a bit of convincing from his grandmother's part she eventually let him follow his heart. He wants to learn about the different worlds and find ways that the knowledge can benefit Scala Ad Caelum and its people. 

Him and Hoder have been friends since they were kids, but have grown distant over the years. He blames himself for this. 

He's their classes representative, and by extension leader. Odin has put a lot of trust in him, Some of his classmates have half-jokingly pointed out he's next in line to be Odin's heir. Which isn't at all far from the truth. 

The position scares and yet motivates him. 

Heimdall:

Lost their parents at a young age and was taken under Odin's wing, technically makes them Odin's kid. They have spent their entire life wanting to be Odin's heir... And eventually had to accept the fact that they're not the one.

Used to be pretty haughty and rude, but they've become a lot kinder after letting go of their jealousy. They and Hoder used to not get along at all. Eventually they managed to see eye-to-eye and became good friends, even if she's a little distant nowadays. 

They've accepted Vidar's position as leader and eventual heir to Odin, and has a lot of respect for him. They became good friends, and Vidar's not afraid to ask him for a second opinion. 

PS; They're an excellent pianist. Taught by Odin, but has surpassed him in that regard. 

Helgi:

His father was a master who ended up killing two wielders in an off-world mission, and broke the world's order. Helgi wants to bring back honor to his family name, keep the justice and peace. Many outside of his class are skeptical due to what his father did. 

His mother got a deadly illness when he was young, so he's primarily been raised by his grandmother (who is also a wielder). He's a mama's girl through and through, and incredibly ambitious, which is his best and worst trait. 

Some of classmates were initially skeptical of him too, but he has proved them all otherwise very quickly. 

His mother dies a little before he becomes an upperclassman... Heimdall was the one to find this out, as Helgi initially didn't want to tell anyone, as to not burden others. Ever since that him and Heimdall have been incredibly close. 

Sigrun:

Raised on a farm. Youngest daughter. She has three older brothers who are fiercely protective of her, despite her now arguably being stronger than them due to her skills. 

Initially when she came to the main city, she was incredibly homesick and felt alone. Vala and Vali became her best friends, and made her feel at home. 

She wants to be a keyblade master to up-keep the greater order and protect the worlds. 

Her and Helgi have a thing for eachother, but she's been too shy to tell him how she really feels. She's made herself a promise- She'll confess to him after their Mark of Mastery. 

Vala:

Her parents managed a humble flower shop, then her hometown had to be abandoned, which left her family in economic ruin. Her sister had to take up work as a fisher to make ends meet, and abandon her passion for art.

Vala struggled in the town, unable to make friends until she kept coming across Vali- At school, at shops, at the library- Basically everywhere. He was initially not interested in anyone, and she was told not to approach due to his demeanor, regardless she tried to get through to him and they've been like peas in a pod since, and motivated each other to pursue becoming Keyblade masters. 

Vala wants to be a keyblade master to acquire knowledge and help others and to also give a comfortable living to her family, even though they're doing better now. (As well as let her older sister pursue her real passion for art.) 

Vali:

Born to two keyblade wielders (not masters) who work as guards.

He lost his voice at around 10 years old, after a traumatic injury. He doesn't remember all the details save for someone in a black cloak. 

He became reclusive, no one really tried to reach out to him. He was on the verge of losing faith in others until Vala came along. Together they studied sign language books, and (metaphorically) got his voice back, she motivated him to pursue the path of becoming a master as he previously dreamed of doing. 

He's the one to push Vala to say what she really feels and thinks and got her out of her shell- and in turn got himself out of his shell too and became less pessimistic.

He's sworn himself to follow Vala anywhere and everywhere, she is his everything. By extension she is the reason why he wants to protect everyone in Scala Ad Caelum as well. She proved to him that kindness still existed in the world. 

He's the class clown.
