ヽ( ´O｀): What is their body language like when sleepy?

Morpheus doesn’t change much when he’s sleepy. He may even get more alert than usual. Sharper movements sometimes. If he’s sleepy and trying to stay awake you may find him reorganizing his shelves over and over again.

(´∀｀): Do they laugh when they get nervous? 

Not really, when Morpheus is nervous he’ll probably get serious, avoid eye contact, staring at the ground and start cracking his knucles one by one. Then start fidgeting his fingers. The easier way to tell if Morph is nervous is by his hands, he doesn’t know what to do with them. 

ಸヮಸ: Do they lean back or forward when they laugh hard? Do they snort? Slap their knee? Do that seal-esque clap? Do they often laugh to the point that you can’t hear their laugh anymore?

He usually leans foward when they laugh too hard. His laughter may sound fake the first time you hear it but once you get used to it you’ll know it’s genuine. He doensn’t snort or slap their knee but Morph totally does the seal-esque clap sometimes. He usually gives short giggles instead of laughing for a long time but when that happens the laughter just gets louder and high pitched instead of fading into a silent laugh.Here’s an example on how his laugh sounds like. 

Remember when the devs said Julian has constant nightmares and wakes up screaming at night?

Add that to Morpheus having the ability to enter dreams, and not being really able to control it.

Morpheus usually doesn’t tell he is a dreamwalker to anyone, so of course he wouldn’t mention it to Julian. In the first times they share a bed everything is fine. But one day Julian is having one of his nightmares and Morpheus accidentally wander through it.

Julian wakes up distressed from his nightmare just to see Morpheus is also awake, and crying. (In my HC the nightmare was Julian being hanged). He tries to say it was just a coincidence, that they both had different nightmares but Julian don’t buy it so Morpheus finally open up and explain about him being an oneiromancer. Julian says he doesn’t mind it the slightest.

However, it happens again and again. So Julian decides it would be best for Morpheus if they stopped seeing each other. Not because he is scared of Morpheus abilities but because he is worried about him, he doesn’t want Morpheus to suffer from his nightmares. Morpheus’ insecurities go over the roof and he is sure Julian is leaving him because he thinks he is a freak like everyone else in his home town used to think.

They eventually work this out tho.

In his 18 years old birthday his mother made for him a new dreamcatcher in the format of some sort of windchime. (kinda like this, but without the smaller ones)

She told him that the windchime would work as a memento of the important people in his life, he should make smaller dreamcatchers representing those important people and attach to the bigger one. For almost two years there was only two smaller dreamcatchers attached to it, one representing his mother and one representing his brother. Morpheus thought it was always going to be this way. He made one for a short-term lover he had once he moved to Vesuvia but never got to attach it there, it wasn’t important enough. 

The actual third addition was one to represent Asra. Morpheus thought about removing it from the windchime everytime the magician left on a journey but he never did. He made one for Nadia as well, although he didn’t put it with the others. Because it wasn’t made for friendship but to try to ease the nightmares she mentioned. Portia of course deserved one too, she is sweet and kind and she’s dear to Morpheus. Then, there’s one for Julian. Morpheus made this after meeting the doctor at the tavern. Was it for protection or something else? He wasn’t sure.

Asra - what is your MC’s biggest secret?

Morpheus is not the type that keep too many secrets. Well, he usually avoids talking about being an oneiromancer because he is afraid people will push him away if they know. 

But there’s just one little thing he never tells anyone. That he did use his dreamwalker skills to shape some dreams into nightmares. It was an year or so before he moved to Vesuvia, he already had learned how to actually use oneiromancy but he only used it a few times to shape nightmares into dreams and he had promised he’d never give people nightmares.  But when Adahlia broke-up with him, he felt betrayed and went back to his promise. He spent two weeks making the people who turned his ex-girlfriend agains him have all types of terrible nightmares. It’d wouldn’t be that bad but one night Morpheus’ spell went wrong and he ended up hurting one person’s brain. After that, said guy could not separate reality for dreams anymore and had to be sent to an asylum. Morpheus feels extremely guilty about that, and he never told anyone he was the culprit for that, not even his family. 

Muriel - is your MC observant? likes to keep an eye on stuff?

Morpheus is not really observant. He may notice a thing of two kinda fast but mostly he’s distracted. One thing he’ll notice right away is if someone enters his shop with a book in hands. You must tell him what book is that. 

For being quite distracted he usually forgots where he places his things. “Where did my pair of scissors went? I’m sure i let them he.......oh i’m holding them, silly me.”

Morpheus stares at the costumes with a blank expression for a while, blinking fast before he burst out in laughter. “Those are great,” The oneiromancer says between giggles. “I’m sure we’ll look dashing on those, won’t we, Julian?” @hackphysician

“And by dashing I mean dashingly ridiculous. Can I add some sparkles to it at least? But my question is… who is supposed to be the plug and who is supposed to be the socket?”

Raven I laughed so hard when I saw these costumes I scared my cat holy shit 😂😂😂

Julian - does your MC get easily flurstered? (if not then what does it take to make them flustered?)

Oooh Morpheus totally gets easily flustered, but mostly with sweet, caring words than sexy comments. Don’t get me wrong, he’ll blush if you flirt with him or say something naughty however he will reply with a certain ease. However, if you say he is cute, or that you enjoy his company or anything like that he’ll be a flustered mess.

Nadia - does your MC have high standards for certain things? if so, for what? 

He has high standards for tea and make-up. If he sees an uneven cat eye he’ll feel an urge to fix it. Besides that, what are standarts?? He’ll tell you he has high standards for books but it’s a lie. He’ll read cheesy romantic novels if it falls into his hands.

“I…uh… I was seventeen. Please don’t mock me. People didn’t even want to talk to me let alone kiss me.”

“Any shade of purple…. it matches my left eye. I also look good on black depending on the style of the clothes, mainly the more fancy looking ones”

“You think I lied in the first question? I didn’t… and even if I did, what’s stopping me for lying again here?

“As far as I know, my mother named me after her grandfather.  She also told me that my father wanted to name me Jarl, and they argued a lot about it. Well, it may be because I’m used to it, but I think Morpheus suits me better.”

“I’m single.”

5. WHAT ARE YOUR POWERS AND ABILITIES?  

“Well… I’m a fortune teller so guess what? I can read fortunes, with both runes and tarot. Besides that… I can enter other people’s dreams and nightmares and once I’m there I can shape it a bit. I also know a bit of basics lightning spells.”

6. WHAT COLOR ARE YOUR EYES? 

“My left eye is purple and my right eye is blue. The shades are close enough for people to mistake them as either both blue or both purple, though.”

“No. I thought about dying it dark purple a few times, but never did it.”

“Only my mother and one older brother. My father died when I was very young, I don’t really remember him very well.”

“I have a familiar. It’s a small and adorable fruit bat called Boo. She’s probably hiding somewhere in the shop right now. Boo gets scared really easily.”

“I don’t like a lot of things. I don’t like summer. I don’t like pepper. I don’t like being ordered around. I don’t like when people doubt my fortune telling skills for using runes… The list goes on. “I like to read a lot. I’m always with a book in hand, if I get 3 minutes between costumers in the shop, I’ll use those minutes to read a page or two. I also enjoy writing from time to time.”

“I hope you mean that like, spirit animal or something like that. If so, my spirit animal is a bat. Probably that’s why I get along with them so well. When I was a kid my brother used to say I was a raccoon though. Small, chubby, dark circles around my eyes, easily irritable…”

“Impulsiveness. I don’t think before I act… It can get me in trouble sometimes. Also I let my curiosity get the best of me sometimes…”

“Well, I admire my brother and my mother greatly, if that counts…”

“I’m bi.”

“I’m home-taught. There was a small school in my city but going there was more trouble than it was worth it. And now I have a Master, in theory that is. That bastard is never home to actually teach me things. Good for me I’m a fast learner and was able to get the hang of tarot easily. “

“No. I don’t think marriage it’s a necessary way to show you love someone. And I really dislike kids, most of them are annoying little brats.”

“I don’t think so?”

“I’m afraid of living a meaningless life. To think I may die without knowing what’s my purpose in this world is terrifying… and spiders are equally terrifying. ”

“On a day-to-day I wear long baggy pants, either a tapered harem or a cotton flare.  The shirt is usually a tunic or a gypsy shirt. Both in shades of purple. And as for shoes, I wear a black flat pair.”

“I love my family with all my heart.”

“I think I’m a sorcerer? I’m commonly known as a ‘dream-mage’, though.”

“I love all the types of pie, but plum pie has a special place in my heart.”

“I have to say libraries. The scent of books and the quiet ambient brings peace to my mind.”

“I don’t know… hmm I have a thing for people taller than me I guess, which is not THAT hard to be. Good fashion sense is also a plus. Personality-wise, I like people who you can have a nice conversation with, who are intelligent and enjoys books…”

“I may have some… but nothing that I’m willing to share with a stranger. “
