"Hi everyone My name is Johannes, I play guitar for Heksed and I founded this band back in 2008. (Under a different name at that time, we changed to Heksed in 2011) For the last few years I've been sick, going between being bedridden barely able to function and able to do some basic tasks. Every concert and small tour have left me totally exhausted for weeks afterwards, and in such a situation the will and motivation to play in a band has only decreased with time. All of the songs from our album and ep Plague Embrace was written by me and Jørgen between 2008-2011, so looking at the input we've done the last 3 years (4 songs, 3 covers) haven't really been much. With that in mind I decided to step down, because I didn't want the responsibility of writing songs and managing a band hanging over me. Talking with the other members we decided we'd rather just put the band on ice instead. Everyone has so much else going on in their life at this point, there really isn't any time or energy left for playing in a band. I'd like to thank everyone who listened to us, came out to a show, picked up one of our records or just supported us in general. We'd like to return to the band at some point, but I can't say for sure if that will ever happen. My primary concern is to get well, and if that happens we'll see if the desire is still there.
